Kawartha Antique Power Pulling Rules

General.

  1. Tractor history is to be provided for the announcer.

2. The puller must be available and ready prior to pull.

3. The first puller of a class ( except in a pull-off ) has the option of a re-pull. The decision must be made prior to unhooking from the sled and the puller will re-pull 2nd or 3rd.

4. During hook-up, the tractor must be in neutral and the driver’s hands and feet MUST be off the controls

5.The hooker must stand behind the sled stop plate to hook the tractor up.

6. Absolutely no jerking of the sled at the start of the pull.

7. Tractors are required to go over the scales prior to pulling and re-weigh if weight is added for another class.

8. 1st place winner can move up a class if you want. Weight can be added to pull in the class.

9. Puller has 100 ft to decide to re-pull.

10. Pullers must pay to pull in each class. The 1st place winner moving up is exempt.

11. Operator must show proof of 2 million dollars in liability insurance (required)

Driver.

  1. No association with drugs or alcohol.

2. No passengers on the tractor.

3. Driver must remain in the tractor seat while it is running and or pulling.

4. Helmet and closed toe shoes required.

5. Puller must be 16 years of age. If under 18 years of age, written authorization from a parent or legal guardian is required.

Tractor.

  1. Tractor must be stock. Not modified. This includes having the correct front end and fenders.

2. Tires may be loaded.

3. Wheel weights and/ or suitcase allowed. They must be properly secured. Loss of weight or any part is a disqualification.

4. No governor bypass of ANY kind. Engine R.P.M. will be monitored. Stock R.P.M. only.

5. Maximum tire size is 18.4”x 38” (except 7500lbs and up).

6. The use of radial and/ or cut tires are not allowed. Radials are allowed for tractors 7500 lbs and over.

7. No turbo chargers allowed in classes under 7500lbs.

8. Pullers MUST supply their own “D” ring.

9. Hook opening must be 3”x3.75” minimum to allow for the sled hook.

10. Wheelie bars allowed.

11. Hitch height is 18” for tractors under 7500lbs and 20” for tractors 7500lbs and over.

12. Minimum drawbar length is 18” measured horizontally from the point of pull to the centre of the axle.

13. Drawbar must be secure in all directions.

14. No weights behind the centre line of the rear axle.

15. No aluminum rims
